The Accuracy of Personality Judgment: The Effects of Information Quantity and Quality

摘要: 良好的信息是影响人格判断准确性的重要调节变量, 信息是否良好取决于信息的数量和质量。信息数量假设认为, 判断者对判断目标的人格信息了解越多, 其人格判断越准确。当信息数量有限时, 内隐人格理论和假定相似性会通过额外信息影响判断的准确性。在信息数量相同的条件下, 信息质量决定了判断的准确性。对于准确的人格判断, 价值信息比事实信息更有效, 私密信息比公开信息更重要。此外, 情境强弱对行为信息的质量有重要影响。判断者与判断目标的熟悉度和关系质量是获取信息的关键。未来的研究应着手解决信息数量与质量的量化、人格判断的生态效度及其与其他变量交互作用等问题。
